Manolo Blahnik Womenswear
Browns and Manolo Blahnik have a history, as the Spanish designer once did a stint in the shoe department of our boutique. It must have made a lasting impression, as after that time he was told by Diana Vreeland in the late ‘60s: ‘Young man, make things, make accessories, make shoes’. And so he did, launching his first boutique in America in 1979, after working on shoe collections for designers Ossie Clark, Jean Muir and Zandra Rhodes. Ever since then, his stilettos have made film and TV appearances and graced the most famous of feet. Inspired by his mother’s love for opulent fabrics, his footwear has a satin exterior, characterised with his signature jewel buckle.
