Get ready to party…
It’s beginning to look a lot like the party season, which means it’s time to start thinking about your occasionwear wardrobe. With the invitations beginning to roll in, we’ve curated an edit of what to wear for every occasion - from need-to-know party pieces to the solution to any smart/casual dress code conundrums.
The Office Party
The only thing you want to be remembered for at the office soirée is your killer outfit. Vamp it up with The Vampire’s Wife’s festive red velvet party dress, paired with a Jennifer Behr headband for added holiday cheer. For extra sparkle, we’re turning to twinkling accessories from Area, Paco Rabanne and Jennifer Chamandi.
The Formal Party
When the dress code is formal, go for Galvan gold. Proving that one can never have too many sequins, this party dress will add extra sparkle to your evening and keep all eyes on you. Get you an Amiri faux fur that will do both, making sure that your look stays under wraps prior to arrival whilst also keeping you warm. Saint Laurent comes served with a side of legs for days, whilst Gucci and Yvonne Léon are on hand for added embellishment.
The After Party
After the party comes the after party. It may be way past your bedtime, but Attico’s zebra print will ensure you stay looking and feeling lively. Pair with some Figue sequins for extra shimmer, and add hot pink Prada to your feet for a pop of colour to offset this monochrome ensemble. Stow your essentials in Saint Laurent, and use Ashley Williams’ statement-making accessories as the ultimate ice-breaker.
The House Party
The types of house parties are endless and the smart/casual dress code is always a conundrum, so in this case we like to fall back on the timeless appeal of a black outfit. Style Marques’Almeida with Christopher Kane to add some feather and crystal embellishment to this effortlessly elegant noir look. For the casual side of the deal, keep your feet happy in a pair of sneakers, such as this pair from Miu Miu. Champagne is an integral part of any festive soirée and where there’s Moschino you’ll always have a bottle to hand. Lend an ear (or two) to Alison Lou to accessorize with precious emeralds that match your handbag.
