The new accessories we’re falling for…
As temperatures begin to drop, it’s time to add some winter warmth to your wardrobe courtesy of the season’s hottest accessories. Whether updating a classic or trying out something new, we’ve selected the best new season styles to ensure you’re well equipped for the months ahead.
The Hat
Hats off to Ruslan Baginskiy, the designer bringing us the iconic Baker Boy hat in leather, felt and suede and a multitude of colour variations. There’s even a mock croc iteration for the extroverts among us. Team with some super soft Carcel knitwear, straight leg jeans and black ankle boots for ultimate autumnal appeal.
The Micro Bag
Small, smaller, smallest. These days superlative style means downsizing one's outfit additions, with Simon Porte Jacquemus continuing to fuel the fashion world’s love of ever-shrinking accessories. With Marie Kondo making minimalists of us all, these miniature accessories mean reducing the contents of our handbags to nothing but the bare essentials. Either that, or carrying multiple at a time. (We choose the latter.)
The Gloves
Keep your finger on the pulse with a pair of the new season’s most stylish gloves. Whether in Marine Serre’s long moon print style or classic leather from the likes of Prada and Valentino, we’re relishing the opportunity to get our hands on these mitts.
The Scarf
Wrap up from the cold with a tried and tested classic: our favourite Acne Studios’ Canada wool scarf. Wide enough to keep you warm but small enough to stash in your bag, we’ll be treating ourselves to one in every colour.
The Hosiery
Autumn dressing means more room for experimentation, with layering pieces at the ready to brave the cooler weather. With monogram mania still going strong, we’ll be investing in logo print socks and tights from the likes of Gucci and Fendi to spice up our transeasonal wardrobe.
The Sunglasses
While the days may be shorter and darker, that doesn’t negate our need for a good pair of sunglasses. Our penchant for mini frames continues with DMY BY DMY, whilst Chimi’s square frames are on hand to offer our outfit an angular edge.
The Wallet
Put your money where your mouth is and invest in one of these new season wallets. If you’re the kind of person who’s always losing theirs, then Off-White’s signature bright yellow styles are proving easy to spot. For those in the mood for sleek and sophisticated, we’d recommend letting Bottega Veneta dictate your spending habits.
