What do Sex Pistols’ Johnny Rotten and Jun Takahashi have in common? Not only did the Japanese designer resemble Rotten in his youth (trust us), but both have a keen disregard for the status quo. And we have to say we’re with them. Heavily inspired by the punk icon, Takahashi founded UNDERCOVER in 1993. Drawing influence from street culture, punk and its homeland, the pioneering label quickly drew critical acclaim for its innovative and highly conceptual designs. Alongside some of the world’s best graphic T-shirts (we’re not biased), expect printed sweatshirts, patterned trousers and finely detailed jackets.
