Founded by Taka Kasuga, nothing is too technical for the Canada-based, performance-led label Arc’teryx. With a design philosophy based on three tenets (craft, technology and sustainability), it creates mountain-proof clothing that doesn’t just look appropriate on a clifftop, but on a video call backdrop too. Crafted using fabrics such as GORE-TEX, sustainable treatments like DOPE DYE and innovative PROTON insulation, Arc’teryx is an engineer of its craft – with the Alpha jacket taking 259 minutes and 190 operations to create.
