The Elder Statesman
The Elder Statesman is all about cashmere, and takes its name from a 20th century T.S. Eliot play and 19th century British dynasty (but we’re most into the latest incarnation’s Cali tie-dye vibes). Founded by Greg Chait, the brand is all about believing in what you do and excelling in it. AW19 presents more eclectic craftsmanship, with Adam Shrewsbury’s talismanic doodles illustrating jackets and knits, while North Carolinian denim is washed in tie-dye (just like all the robes that are made from, yep, you guessed it, cashmere and silk).
