Since its inception in 1917, Balenciaga has changed guises more times than we’ve changed outfits. Today, with Demna Gvasalia at the helm, the label centres on the concept of ‘destructing to create.’ With experimentation firmly at the core of its design vision, the label disregards industry conventions to recreate archival pieces with strong shapes, oversized silhouettes and sculptural tailoring - all the while maintaining the artistic integrity of the founder, Cristóbal Balenciaga. With bold logo prints, and corporate culture symbols, the house’s rich heritage is presented through distinctive cuts, and slick shirts, alongside graphic T-shirts and noteworthy sneakers including the Triple S, Track and Speed.
