Justine Clenquet

Remember how you used to make friendship bracelets at school? Accessories designer Justine Clenquet ran with that idea, and aged just 18 turned crafting original pieces of jewellery for friends into opening a boutique in the North of France. Established in 2010, the eponymous label confronts nodes of masculinity and femininity by reinterpreting classic styles with an eccentric allure (think ‘70s glam rock and punk subcultures). A champion of French craftsmanship, Clenquet handmakes her designs in her native country, fusing palladium-plated metals with brass dipped in 24k gold and delicate crystals for a finish that screams high-octane glamour. Chunky chains that can be worn in a variety of different ways sit alongside dangling embellishments in ethereal shades and nostalgic chokers that nod to the ‘90s.
