123V Browns
“We’re super excited to be invited to open in Browns, and it’s comforting to know they share our vision for deliciousness and creativity with compassion.” ~ Alexis Gauthier
At Browns Brook Street, our unparalleled luxury experience goes beyond fashion, championing the best in plant-based culinary innovation with the opening of our new restaurant, 123V Browns. We’ve partnered with award-winning restaurateur and chef, Alexis Gauthier and his team who have transformed our space, adding their own joyful flair to the original decoration by design studio Red Deer - with some artwork created by their own James Lewis - echoing the colourful, tasty and satisfying brand new menu, bespokely-made specially for Browns.
Visit our beautiful Restaurant and evergreen Courtyard on the ground floor - which can be accessed via a private entrance on Avery Row - to enjoy a vegan lunch, dinner or drink in laidback luxury, inside or alfresco. The introduction of a small terrace at the front of the boutique offers the only outside terrace currently open on Brook Street, enabling perfect people watching in style.

THE FOOD
“Sushi is a globally popular cuisine, which naturally lends itself to forward thinkers. It’s rooted in a fundamental artisan technique but isn’t afraid of innovation. It’s a luxury choice because of its style and playfulness, but it’s not exclusive. I see plant-based sushi as the next great global cuisine on the horizon, as it ticks every box - it’s delicious, sustainable, elegant, fun, and you don’t miss anything.” ~ Alexis Gauthier
The bespoke, seasonal menu is a celebration and evolution of the star of the original 123V menu - plant-based sushi. Fresh, healthy, reasonably priced lunch and dinner options are served up in a small-plate style perfect for sharing, made with love from the 123V kitchen to ours. All the signatures are there, including the famous nigiri which caused such a sensation when it launched, and also new iterations of the beloved crispy rice, along with sushi tacos which playfully present a handful of ingredients in open Nori sheets. Not forgetting two notable new menu developments: ‘Fresh Salad rolls’- Thai style summer rolls are given the Gauthier treatment - and ‘Garden bowls’ – think of a super-light ramen or summer velouté. We can guarantee that whether you’re vegan or not, there’s something delicious on our menu to delight everyone’s taste buds.
‘I think we’ve only just scratched the surface on what can be achieved with plants. Right now we are at the Apple Macintosh version 2 1985 level. Everyone is just wondering what on earth we are doing. But the ones who have discovered it are really, really enjoying it. What I really love is seeing the innovation from my team of young chefs, with the never-ending larder of creativity that plants bring, so fresh compared to the same old lumps of the same old fish, meat, reworked again and again. Remember, 40 years ago everyone laughed at the Sinclair C5, now we have Tesla.” ~ Alexis Gauthier
THE DRINKS
Perfectly complementing the food menu, a thoughtfully selected, compact, all-vegan wine list has been curated overseen by Gauthier Soho sommelier David Havlik. Expect a few surprises… along with the usual quality Provence rosés, classic crowd-pleasing Bordeaux reds and everyone’s favourite Loire whites. Non-alcoholic drinks are not forgotten, but elevated, presenting a wide range of mocktails and infusions based around seasonal garden plants to enhance the food. Best enjoyed alfresco amongst the mature fern gardens and trees in our evergreen Courtyard - our secret little slice of evergreen haven in the heart of Mayfair where one can escape the city rush.
ABOUT 123V
It all began when vegan chef Gauthier originally decided to create a restaurant experience where everyone would feel welcome, and looked to move casual dining into a plant-based future. Then 123V was born - vegan for the animals. "We're here on a compassionate mission. We believe that all animals deserve to live hopeful and free,” Alexis explains. “If the world is to move intelligently into the new century, it’s clear that humans eating animal products must eventually be eliminated. But for people to be convinced to change, the world needs delicious plant-based food. We're here to help that happen.”
A selection of artwork on the walls of the restaurant is available to purchase, ask a member of our team if interested. Discover more about the 123V menu (to be updated each season) and more at www.123vegan.co.uk.
