“I grew up knowing Stone Island from a really young age, not because of the colours or the name, but the badge and logo. I saw it everywhere - different people would have the iconic badge on their arms to make sure everyone would see it. It’s easily identifiable by anyone, anywhere.
The brand represents a culture and a movement which drew me to them. I like the whole idea of having a presence and knowing who you are within the clothes that you're wearing. Stone Island, for me, represents the unique combination of brand awareness and cultural connection. When connecting with their loyal customers and wider audience alike, they always stay true to the identity of the brand.
I became a true Stan during high school when I got my first piece - a grey beanie hat with the badge right in the front so no one could miss it. I got it with my own money after saving for a while which was an amazing feeling. I still remember how wonderful it felt to get so many compliments every time I wore it. I wasn’t able to be a Stone Island collector at the time, but I treasured the few pieces I did have, and I’ve managed to build up my collection ever since.
If I had to choose one piece to wear on repeat out of the new SS23 Marina Capsule, it’d have to be the jacket in all of the different colourways. I gravitate towards it because the lightweight nature of the fabric means I wouldn’t be too hot or too cold. I also like the fact that the hood is both removable and interchangeable with the other colour options, dependent on my mood. The simple but unique design makes it very easy to style with other pieces of clothing, making the jacket a great addition to any wardrobe.
But the thing that stands out most about the collection? It just shines. The vibrant, pastel colour palette and reflective nature of the fabric all compliments my skin. Once you wear it, you just feel like a whole different person.”

Kenya-born, London-based Graham Rono is a multi-talented model who - at just 25 years old - also works as an editor in the advertising industry. As well as co-owning clothing label Reborn London. If that didn’t keep him busy enough, in his spare time Graham produces his own music, specialising in R&B, hip-hop and reggae.
