Monica Sordo

Venezuelan jewellery designer Monica Sordo founded her eponymous brand when returning home after years of working in the fashion industry abroad. Inspired by her years in Milan, Madrid and New York, as well as her hometown of Caracas, Monica practices experimentation, soul and precision in her craft. Forms found in nature juxtapose architecture, such as Bauhaus and Art Deco, to form gold-plated earrings, cuffs and chokers. Working with local artisans in Peru, Monica Sordo's jewellery is a fusion of modern design and traditional techniques. The idea of each piece is to explore permanence through design, heritage, people, craftsmanship and collaboration.
