Contemporary womenswear label CLAN is based in Lagos, Nigeria. Founded by sisters Teni, Aba and Tiwa Sagoe, CLAN’s design is about highlighting and empowering the feminine. Flattering tailored separates and figure-hugging dresses are at the core of CLAN’s collections, designed with the cosmopolitan woman in mind. The Sagoe sisters have fashion in their DNA – their mother is Deola Sagoe, one of Nigeria’s most prominent designers whose label was first started in the ‘80s. High shine fabrics and faux suede and leather is contrasted with breezy cotton. Cut into body conscious silhouettes, CLAN maintains a playful edge with minimal detailing in the form of buttons, zips, embroidery and contrasting topstitching.
