The ‘ey’ vowels in the Berlin-based footwear brand may be silent, but the noise it has made in the industry is not. aeyde, pronounced ‘ady’, was founded in 2015 by frends Luisa Dames and Constantin Langholz-Baikousis, named after Constantin’s grandmother, Edith. The label is synonymous with simple silhouettes that do not compromise on design and quality. Tackling its carbon footprint head on, the label uses leathers sourced in Europe, which are expertly crafted into shoes in a family run factory in Italy. Each pair is finished with a hand-sewn mark.
