How would you sum up what you do in a sentence?
I head up the non-profit project Fashion East that scouts, sponsors, mentors, and launches the UK’s most exciting new designers.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?
I didn’t think about stuff like that, I just wanted to have fun.

How do you waste time, when your schedule is clear?
Listening to great music loud, daydreaming in my hammock, plotting with friends at the pub.

What did you do on your last day off?
Sunbathed and napped after a really good night out.

What's your greatest ambition?
To live long and healthy with my kid Rainbow.

Do you have any phobias?
Nah reckon I’ve grown out of them.

Who do you most admire?
Firefighters.

What's the last dream that you can remember having?
It was crazily cinematic - I was in a pitch black forest having a wild time with a King-like guy in a circle of wolves and flames.

What would you most like to change about the world?
Humans need to wake up.

What would you most like to change about yourself?
I’d love to be a deep sleeper. I’m useless at it.

Have you ever pretended to be someone else in the mirror?
I spent a few years being every character from David Lynch’s Wild at Heart. I wore lacy teddies like Lula Pace to go out and recited all her lines.

If you could do anything without fear of repercussion, what would you do?
Cancel Brexit, then just drive around in my jeep wild style, park it on pavements, ride a motorbike with no helmet, fun stuff like that.

If you could ask anyone a question, who would you ask, and what?
I’d ask my dead friends do I get to see you again? If the answer was yes you’d be beyond happy the rest of your life.

One. Track. Minded. Diehard. Romantic.

What’s the most surprising thing we’d find out if we looked at your phone?
That I’m really REALLY good at keeping other people’s darkest secrets. They’re all on there in my messages.

Favourite song?
Man Child by Neneh Cherry. The video kills me.

Favourite colour?
Blue, always.

The perfect night out?
Getting ready with my bestie Madeleine Ostlie, Ubers all over town to different parties, dancing to great tunes, getting home in daylight.

The funniest person you know?
Damien Hirst is absurd when he gets going. Lev Tanju from Palace on instagram is hilarious.

One thing you can’t live without?
My Master & Dynamic MH40 headphones, it’s like another world.

Favourite thing to eat?
Mexican with loads of chilli and a margarita.

What was your first job?
Behind a bar. I got the sack.

The best advice you've ever been given?
Trust yourself. Ignore idiots. Love what you do.

Why did you choose to work with new talent?
They were already my friends and I believed in their work. It was a natural next step. They’re inspiring.

Which new brands are you excited to see for AW18?
ASAI. Symonds Pearmain. Charlotte Knowles.

Who or what inspires you?
My own lovely community and connecting with new ones.

What drives your creativity?
Perverse details, obscure jokes, raging at ugly stuff, crying at beauty.

Who do you consider to be the true creatives in the world?
Risk takers, restless spirits, activists. Humour is a key quality for me.

Rainbow Esmeralda Pearl Kennedy.
