The Drop: adidas x C.P. Company
adidas Originals and C.P. Company have joined forces to launch a new collaboration that will be good for your sole (see what we did there). Expect reworks of classic adidas sneakers in football-inspired silhouettes (amongst them Kamanda and Samba) along with an updated take on the much-loved C.P. Company goggle jacket, and a Beckenbauer track-top reimagined within the Italian apparel brand’s dyeing lab. So you might have to wait another four years for the next World Cup, but in the meantime, a seriously cool casualwear upgrade is coming home (with you).
The distinctive terrace look was first seen in 1970s Britain because of the “casuals” subculture and their desire to emulate the luxurious and wealthy aesthetic of their European opponents. Over the last four decades, this aesthetic has earned its ultra-cool status from filtering through the grime music scene and athleisure craze to being worn by fashion trailblazers everywhere. adidas Originals, C.P. Company and Stone Island have remained the go-to brands for the sleek silhouettes synonymous with “terrace fashion," evoking feelings of nostalgia for the trend that is no longer confined to the stadiums. The fusion of terrace aesthetics with street-ready styling in this collaboration means that football fan or not, you’ll want to get involved.
adidas Originals x C.P. Company might be all about keeping it casual, but we’re sure that your relationship with this collection won’t be a relaxed one. Keep your eyes on the ball, it’s launching on Friday 24th August 2018 online and in our boutiques at South Molton Street and Browns East, Club Row.
