In the words of Lorenzo Castañer, ‘If Yves Saint Laurent wanted a wedge espadrille, a wedge espadrille he would have.’ It was during the late ‘60s that the designer approached the Castañer - for months he’d been searching for someone to make him the perfect wedge espadrille, which resulted in the signature Carina style. A homage to traditional Spanish craftsmanship, and with a 90-year heritage, today the essence of Castañer remains as authentic as in 1927 - with expert construction and natural materials taking forefront of the label.
