Wish You Were Here... Simran Randhawa
Model and journalist Simran Randhawa takes a colourful staycation in her home city, showing us that London in the summer is anything but grey.

Where are you right now and what are you doing?
Currently in my best friend’s bed. It’s golden hour and we’re watching Love Island. Bigggggg summer mood.
How would you sum up what you do in a sentence?
Model and Journalist.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
An architect. I think it’s the best balance of creativity and logic.
What did you do on your last day off?
Spent the day with my boyfriend, cooked a big breakfast, walked his dog in the middle of nowhere and took loads of naps.
What's your greatest ambition?
To successfully balance every area of my life - work, family, relationships and looking after myself.
Do you have any phobias?
This is weird but bananas (don’t ask, they make me feel so tense) and heights - which I don’t get because I’m tall.
Who do you most admire?
My mum and my grandmothers.

I never want to see another meatball in my life.”
What's the last dream that you can remember having?
I honestly can’t remember the details of it, all I know is that I was trying to escape something and remember lots of running.
If you could do anything without fear of repercussion, what would you do?
Take six months off work and travel the world.
Describe yourself in three words…
Intuitive, resilient and empathetic.
What’s the most surprising thing we’d find out if we looked at your phone?
The amount of John Mayer on it (sorry not sorry).
The perfect night out?
Getting ready with my girls, hitting a bar that has GOOD music and then a massive sleepover after.
The funniest person you know?
My best friend Jenny. She’s funny without realising it and her laugh is so infectious.

One thing you can’t live without?
Peppermint tea.
Favourite thing to eat?
MALAYSIAN FOOD!
Least favourite thing to eat?
Bananas. Gross.
What was your first job?
Working in the kitchens in Ikea. I never want to see another meatball in my life.
Who or what inspires you?
My grandmothers, they’re my heroes.
The best advice you've ever been given?
To take time every now and then to stop and shake off all the weight you’ve unknowingly accumulated on your shoulders. We’re always so busy and go go go that we don’t realise when things pile up on us emotionally and get us down.
