Browns Announces Partnership In Support Of The British Fashion Council's NEWGEN Initiative
We have BIG news…
Browns is an official partner of the British Fashion Council in support of the NEWGEN programme.

Since its opening in 1970, Browns has had a rich history as a purveyor of new talent. Back in the day, Browns was the first UK luxury store to welcome such brands as Calvin Klein and Versace to our shores as well as championing our home grown talent such as the late, great Alexander McQueen. We have continued this important legacy under the masterful eye of CEO Holli Rogers, introducing brands from South Korea, Georgia, Denmark and Japan to name but a few.
NEWGEN by the British Fashion Council is an annual award that supports emerging UK talent across womenswear, menswear and as of this year, accessories. Recipients of the award will receive regular mentoring, financial support and business skills to help them become the global, luxury fashion brands of the future. This internationally-celebrated talent identification scheme and sponsorship gives new designers the opportunity to showcase their work at either London Fashion Week or London Fashion Week Men’s which further propels them into the spotlight.
With creativity, innovation and originality at the heart of the Browns spirit, NEWGEN is the perfect partner to continue the ethos that Browns was founded upon. Working alongside the BFC, NEWGEN committee and other partners, Browns will be an integral part of the selection process, mentoring scheme and funding, offering key business and retail expertise to the next generation of designers.

Through partnerships like this, we will continue to demonstrate our cool to be kind ethos and we look forward to working closely with the BFC and the designers to build out meaningful initiatives with support and mentorship at the heart.”
