Next Generation SS19: Les Trois Mousquetaires
With a new season comes new designers at Browns and for spring/summer 19 we are welcoming over 25 new brands to our menswear selection.
To ensure your summer wardrobe is stocked with the freshest and hottest design talent, Browns would like to introduce you to a ‘ménage à trois’ if you will of designers that all hail from our neighbouring France. With each taking a totally unique stance on effortless elegance, we present to you three designers who aren’t afraid of pushing the boundaries of luxury style, using streetwear as a key source of inspiration.
Jacquemus
Hotly anticipated and well worth the wait, Simon Porte Jacquemus has finally introduced us to his Jacquemus man. Presented on a secluded beach outside Marseille from which the designer hails, the first collection encapsulates the Mediterranean aesthetic. Entitled ‘Le Gadjo’ which is a local term for ‘guy/boy’, SS19 takes its inspiration from the beachcombing boys from the South of France, playing on stereotypes depicted in such films as Call Me By Your Name. Soft and effortless, the collection features pastel silk tracksuits, floral shirts, cargo trousers and leather wallets to wear around your neck… perfect for the essentials whist catching those Provençal rays.
Boramy Viguier
Hailing from the Parisian suburbs of Gennevilliers, we welcome Boramy Viguier to Browns for SS19 with his Western-inspired collection. Starting his label in 2017, Boramy’s path to fashion designer differed from the norm; after joining Central St Martins as a student, he decided to quit and intern instead, landing him a four-year tenure at Lanvin under the masterful eye of Lucas Ossendrijver. His second collection features a range of outerwear focused streetwear that includes cowboy style sleeveless shirts, side popper trousers and zip-up jackets.

Casablanca
Unmistakable cool and bringing new meaning to luxury loungewear is what French-Moroccan designer Charaf Tajer and his new brand Casablanca are all about. Described by the designer as ‘a French brand with a souvenir of Morocco’, it takes its name from the city where his parents met whilst working in a clothing atelier. After studying architecture, Charaf ran the Parisian hotspot Le Pompon for seven years before working on French brand Pigalle and collaborating with designers such as Virgil Abloh. Taking inspiration from travel and the style found in luxury hotel lobbies, his SS19 Casablanca collection has a getaway feel with a mix of linen suits, silk shirts and the popular Terry cloth tracksuits.
