Introducing..
Browns X Wandler Homeware Collection
To coincide with the Browns’ 50th anniversary celebration, we have partnered with luxury accessories brand Wandler and product designers Helle Mardahl, Jochen Holz and Fleur Hulleman for an exclusive homeware series.
Homeware has always been one of Elza Wandler’s personal interests, resulting in an impressive vase collection at her home. Her passion for interiors was further fueled when creating the Wandler showroom and every season she fills the space with pieces from various designers. United in a similar aesthetic and presented as an extension of the Wandler experience, this creative interest gave Elza the opportunity to meet talented designers such as Helle, Jochen and Fleur, not knowing that this was the beginning of so much more.
Brought together by a common vision of craftsmanship, colour and organic shapes, both the designers and Wandler have created one-of-a kind design pieces, injecting Wandler’s SS21 Pre colour story into Fleur Hulleman’s sensual sculptures, Helle Mardahl’s beautiful bonbonnieres and Jochen Holz’s magnificent glass objects.
This exciting three part collaboration launches on the 16th November and will be available to purchase exclusively online.
Fleur Hulleman ‘Soft Ceramics’
Based in The Netherlands, Fleur Hulleman’s sculptural creations offer a tactile experience of sensorial discovery. Pulling focus on colour, material, finishes and organic shape, Fleur’s ornaments allow for a touch of escapism from our filtered digital world. Created exclusively for Browns in collaboration with fellow Dutch brand Wandler, Fleur Hulleman’s ‘Soft Ceramics’ collection is entirely handmade with a precise attention to detail. Moulded in soft nude tones, each piece is unique in both texture and colour, reawakening a sensual relationship with form and feeling. Presented in a mix of warm neutrals, these unique objects will add a touch of intrigue to your homeware collection and, worth noting to visitors, they also pair perfectly with your Wandler Isa sandals.
Helle Mardahl
With creations that present a pick and mix of organic orbicular shapes, Helle Mardahl’s mouth-blown glassware is famed for its candy-like aesthetic. For her exclusive collaboration with Browns and Wandler, Helle has added a neon touch alongside jet black and a small dotted piece that evokes an animal print style we see in Wandler’s new Hortensia bags. Each glass object is a one-off, made entirely by hand and signed by Helle Mardahl, making each one completely unique. As the glass is mouth-blown, no two are the same, all taking on their own shape and personality, much like how we see ourselves
"I am so happy to be involved in this project with Elza Wandler and Browns. It’s been an absolute pleasure to create objects that gather fashion, art and people. This exclusive and limited collection brings together our common ground to me they represent the past, the presence and the future expressing history, dialog and dreams”. - Helle Mardahl
Jochen Holz
East London based Jochen Holz specialises in the lampworking technique, transforming pre-made borosilicate glass tubes into one-of-a-kind glassware. His bespoke pieces are melted over a torch and hand-blown, to then be moulded into a variety of abstract tableware. Using the ‘incalmo’ Italian technique in which different coloured glass is heated and fused together, each jug, vase or glass comes in a myriad of colour combinations, making them exquisitely unique. The pyrex glass Jochen uses is heat-resistant, making the pieces incredibly durable and suitable for everyday use, much like our trusty Wandler Carly shoulder bag.
