24 Hours With... Elza Wandler
This is a snapshot into the life (and US road trip!) of Elza Wandler. Literally.

Who or what drives your creativity?
Balance is everything… I travel a lot to Paris, London, Milan and New York. I love each of the cities; the different cultures, energy and street style. It all helps to form my ideas. Taking that and combining it with long beach walks and going into the woods with Luna and Billy, our two dogs.
What was the highlight of this trip to LA?
Driving in our car to Malibu beach, the roads and surroundings are so beautiful. We saw dolphins!
Best meal of the trip?
At Gracias Madre.
Most unusual thing you found in LA?
Frank Lloyd Wright Hollyhock house.
One word to describe the city?
Tropical.
Best view?
Soho House in Malibu.
Favourite thing to talk about in traffic?
New Wandler bag ideas.
Podcast recommendation?
Business of Fashion.

What souvenirs did you bring home with you?
Gold from my local hero and friend Lizzie Mandler (yes, we almost share a last name!)
Who do you most admire and why?
Frida Kahlo. I love her art and I’m intrigued by her fashion sense.
What would you like to do that you currently can’t?
I would love to learn to be better at drawing. I make all my first samples from A4 paper, so I work very 3-D. Also, I would like to improve my Italian. I’d love to joke around and curse with our suppliers!
If you could ask anyone a question (living or dead), who would you ask and what?
Beyoncé: who’s Becky with the good hair??
What’s your go-to handbag?
At the moment I’m into the Mia tote. I love the practical roominess of the style – it’s a great one for on the go.
What would we find in your handbag?
‘Portrait of a Lady’ perfume, Chanel Rouge Allure 110, Prada sunglasses, Rock & Ruddle hairbrush, Le Labo hand cream, iPhone, headphones and wallet.

The best advice you've ever been given?
My father is a mindfulness coach and when I worry, he always reminds me that all we have is now. The past has been and the future is just thoughts. It makes me feel calm and less stressed.
Favourite artist?
Chantal Joffe.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
A vet.
Why did you become a designer?
Because I’m a bad hairdresser.
Favourite colour?
The Shiny Apple color in the shoe collection!
Favourite thing to eat?
Indonesian and healthy salads.
Least favourite thing to eat?
Dog food.
Describe yourself in 3 words...
ON, ON, ON.
