Assistant Merchandiser - Maternity Cover (12 Months FTC)

Job Purpose:

The purpose of the Assistant Merchandiser is to provide extensive operational and strategic support to the Merchandiser and working alongside the buying team to ensure a balanced product range that will satisfy the customer, brand requirements and achieve the department strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting the Merchandiser in the day to day running of the Merchandising department.
  • Analysis of sales identifying best and worst sellers and taking appropriate actions working in collaboration with stakeholders to react to trade and maximise sales opportunity.

CRM Executive

We are looking for a data driven CRM Executive to help us continue to revolutionise the industry. You will be responsible for analysing & enhancing the email channel performance focusing on personalization and customer loyalty.

Reporting into the CRM Manager, you will support on key strategic priorities including database growth, segment movement and customer profiling, initiatives on activation & re-activation of our customer base, on-going optimization and AB testing plan working closely with internal departments including Merchandising, Editorial, Design, Product and Customer Insights. Supporting the multi-channel experience and helping coordinate offline and online customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the process of delivering a world class customised CRM program, forecasting and planning process in order to meet agreed KPIs and targets.
  • Support the customer newsletter management and quality control by working closely with other departments (merchandising, design, editorial, social media etc.)

Head of Merchandising

The Head of Merchandising is responsible for leading the Merchandising team to deliver revenue, gross profit and sell through targets across all channels – stores, e-commerce, Farfetch and partnerships, in-line with the Browns vision – to the COOLEST multi-channel boutique in the world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong leadership, management and support to the Merchandising team, comprising of Merchandisers, Assistants and Pricing Analysts to ensure Browns has the best reporting, analysis and management of all product information.
  • Leading weekly Trading meetings, Monthly reforecast reviews, seasonal buy and markdown planning.
  • Work closely with Heads of Buying to create the Seasonal Product Strategy in line with Browns vision and strategic objectives.

Personal Shopping Manager

The purpose of the VIC Manager is to develop the VIC strategy to enable Browns to deliver ‘The customer experience of the future’ for our Very Important Clients across all channels. With a truly global and multichannel approach, the VIC Manager will translate this strategy into operational plans for our VIC department, supporting the team to increase customer acquisition & loyalty, and ultimately drive growth and contribution of the VIC department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand the commercial objectives of the VIC department in order to design and implement the VIC strategy, and evolve the long term commercial objectives.
  • Define what the customer experience of the future looks and feels like for our VIC’s across each channel, taking into account how this is evolving to align at Group level and to our vision.
  • Translate the VIC strategy into an operational plan for your team, defining key performance metrics and setting objectives with team members focusing on client outreach and engagement to impact VIC acquisition and retention.
  • Inspire, lead and develop your team, engaging them with the vision and strategy and ensuring regular and clear communication.
  • Coach and upskill your team to be experts on the client journey across all channels, enable them to adapt and deliver a consistent standard of elevated service.

A brand new role, we are looking for a dynamic individual to join our growing business! The HRBP will provide support to Browns’ employee population, partnering with Heads of Department and Line Managers to support on all aspects of the employee lifecycle.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Heads of Department and Line Managers to deliver the people agenda within Browns.
  • Support line managers throughout the employee lifecycle, driving the consistent application of policy and procedure.

E-Commerce Director 8 months FTC (Maternity Cover)

To be responsible for delivering on Browns’ online business target, driving and implementing our digital strategy. You will ensure the business has a strong differentiated presence and relevance globally whilst maximizing revenue, profitability and maintaining a high level of growth. This will incorporate our strategy and execution across Social Media, Digital Marketing, Digital Product, Digital Production and Data & Analytics.

What you will do:

  • Set Ecommerce strategy for Browns’ online channel, brownsfashion.com.
  • Own the P&L for the online channel and deliver on all KPIs, notably revenue, profit contribution, customer growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead the execution of all initiatives on our strategic roadmap to continue expanding brownsfashion.com as a leading innovative business and the coolest boutique in the world.
  • Ownership of digital trade across marketing, production, platform and onsite experience. Responsibility is grouped within the following areas but should not be seen as an exhaustive list:

Job Purpose:

We are on the hunt for a Social Media Specialist to support our social media strategy, executing this for Browns across multiple platforms and territories including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter and YouTube.

As part of the implementation of the social media strategy, the Social Media Specialist will be responsible for planning, creating, curating and distributing globally relevant content and campaigns in collaboration with brand, press and the wider digital marketing teams and report on their success to drive the business forward.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Social Media plays a key role in Browns’ marketing mix by participating in brand and product campaign planning.
  • Be responsible for developing, curating and executing the social and digital media strategy.
  • Champion digital content for Browns and facilitate best practices in an effort to strengthen the digital brand globally.
  • Track and evaluate results accordingly through accurate and timely reports.
  • Build brand affinity and strengthen customer engagement through community management.

Senior Paid Media Executive

Email Developer

We are looking for an Email Developer to design and build email campaigns working with the CRM team. You will be responsible for executing weekly build requirements to deliver the CRM calendar, as well as developing new responsive, dynamic templates using additional programming languages.You will report to the Lead Digital Marketing Designer, and work very closely with the CRM team. We are looking for someone with good HTML, CSS capabilities and experience coding complex email templates with SQL, JavaScript, PHP or RPL as well as preferably some experience using an ESP.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build Browns weekly email campaigns using existing templates.
  • Work with the Lead Digital Marketing Designer and CRM Manager developing new templates that enable user-level personalisation via interaction with a variety of data sources.
  • Develop new automated processes and dynamic tools/templates to increase efficiency and output of the CRM department.
  • Work with the CRM team to improve email metrics (Open Rate, Click Rate, Conversion) by optimising designs, ensuring templates are mobile-responsive and implementing testing.
  • Implement a robust testing schedule for all emails to ensure all emails are perfect on send.
  • Ensure the creative quality is always consistent and high – the little things matter.
  • Able to troubleshoot and fix errors across HTML, CSS, data flows and, ideally, RPL (Responsys Personalisation Language).

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Understanding of core programming concepts (across front and backend development).
  • Strong understanding of email development principles – HTML, CSS and UX principles.
  • SQL, JavaScript, PHP or RPL knowledge.

Menswear Online Styling Editor

We are looking for a creative individual, who is able to manage the Menswear Online Styling shots for all new and incoming products. Working alongside the Styling and Buying Teams, the Online Styling Editor will be confident in styling direction, improving styling standards and guidelines, training the team with on-set techniques and testing new approaches. The role is key for translating the Browns creative vision to the ‘New In’ section on brownsfashion.com.

This role is based in the UK, but requires weekly travel to Porto (Portugal), where our incredible studios are located.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Approve outfits on a daily basis (remotely or physically) ensuring feedback is specific and changes are made in order to fit brand guidelines for Men’s before they are shot on the model.
  • Sign-off what was shot on a daily basis, calling any reshoots and advising on areas of improvement, ensuring the outfits are on-brand, on-trend and portray the Browns vibe. 
  • Work with the studio production team, adhering to tight deadlines and ensuring actions are taken in time for the upload.
  • Be hands on in styling at the highest standards, particularly with reference to ‘’tricky’’ items or special projects.
  • Work with the Online Styling Manager and the Buying Teams in order to create seasonal styling guidelines for new brands for both men’s and women’s and ensure the team is aware and follows them. 
  • Work with the online styling team to ensure sample room is regularly edited and the most appropriate/new products are available for the team to use.     
  • Support the Styling Manager in training and supporting the development of the team, including any new recruits, and monitor the team’s general performance.
  • Provide continuous support and guidance to on-set team (including stylist, photographer and assistant).
  • Take full accountability for Online Styling in the absence of the Online Styling Manager.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant styling experience as a main stylist in the luxury environment.
  • Extensive experience in styling menswear.
  • Experience in both an editorial and e-commerce environment.
  • Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment.
  • Strong awareness of current trends and street style for men’s and ability to incorporate them into Browns style.
  • Flexibility to travel on very short notice during weekdays and as often as the business requires.

We have created a brand new role for a Brand Marketing Executive to sit within the Brand Marketing stream within the department. The purpose of the role is to work alongside the Senior Brand Marketing Manager to drive brand awareness through a strategic global program of exciting and creative campaigns and brand experiences.

This role will be key in executing brand campaigns, projects and launches across all markets within a multi-channel framework, drawing synergy across all business functions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Brand Marketing Manager in implementing the global strategic brand marketing plan according to business objectives to advance the brand identity, broaden awareness of our business and our services and increase the visibility of our brand overall across a global audience.
  • Partner with all cross-channel functions across the business, building meaningful relationships and ensuring brand initiatives and campaigns are executed effectively and consistantly across all channels.
  • Take ownership of the global communications and launch calendar to ensure all business functions and key stakeholders are updated regularly.
  • Use your creative flair to develop comprehensive and engaging 360 campaign overview documents, capturing all touchpoints or brand campaigns from creative concepts to marketing strategies.
  • Work in partnership with the Senior Brand Marketing Manager with the implementation of the brand ambassador program. Identifying and building relationships with key influencers within the Browns network to generate collaborative content across brand engagement, social media, e-commerce, communications and editorial.
  • Be instrumental in the management, planning and execution of strategic brand partnerships.
  • Work in collaboration with our Buying Teams in the execution and planning of seasonal messaging, to ensure the tone remains consistent across all multi-channel touchpoints.
  • Develop and distribute post campaign reports, underlining key learnings and takeaways to be distributed to the business.
