Bio:
Best friends Josephine Bergqvist and Livia Schück met whilst studying fashion at Beckman’s College of Design in Stockholm, Sweden, and swiftly realised they shared a similar vision. A year after graduation, the duo were hesitant to start their own fashion line due to the environmental impact of the industry, but soon found their solution in luxury upcycling. Their ethos focuses on a circular business model, using only recycled and recyclable materials in their production. Even Rave Review’s name is recycled, after the designers happened across it on an old vintage tag.
After showing for the first time at Paris Fashion Week SS18, Rave Review’s colourful mix of luxurious antique fabrics and contemporary silhouettes gained, well, rave reviews, shining a light on the new wave of sustainable design revolutionaries and changing the conversation around sustainable fashion.
Conscious Collection:
Fighting against oversaturation and waste in the industry, Josephine and Livia use existing garments, antique textiles and natural fibres to create newly reworked luxury garments.
Ensuring the highest quality throughout, each piece is carefully sourced and remade to create something entirely unique. Designed and produced in Sweden, Rave Review’s bold aesthetic is a world apart from its minimalist-loving Scandi counterparts. With deconstruction intrinsic to the label’s DNA, their bold, nostalgic textiles and prints represent a progressive fashion statement with a conscious message.
