Wish You Were Here... Iggy Ldn
Cruising around Barcelona at Primavera Sound festival, filmmaker Iggy LDN takes a much needed break from his busy production schedule, whilst also finding the time to dye his hair orange.

Where are you in these photos and what are you doing?
Barcelona, Spain. I was attending Primavera Sound festival with a couple of mates. It was pretty wild - I even dyed my hair.
Where are you originally from?
Born and raised in East London, Newham, but I tell people I’m from Wakanda.
Describe yourself in three words
Enigmatic, patient, dreamer.
How would you sum up what you do in a sentence?
The process of taking weird ideas from my head and formatting them in a way that humans can make sense of.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
I wanted to be so many different things when I was younger, one being a spy.
How did you get into filmmaking?
I sort of stumbled into it really. Long story short, I wrote a short piece that I turned into a film in 2016 and I’ve been making films ever since.

What did you do on your last day off?
I went to Waterstones and bought ‘The Fire Next Time’ by James Baldwin. Those two essays are like poetry.
If you could ask anyone a question, who would you ask, and what?
I would ask Whitney Houston if she ever loved music more than the world loved her.
Who do you most admire?
My younger brothers.
What was your favourite moment of this trip?
Spending time with my mate, Vicky Grout. We’re both really busy so hanging out in Barcelona felt like a movie.
And your least favourite?
Getting no sleep.
Favourite fictional character and why?
Spiderman. With great power comes great responsibility.
Favourite film?
I don’t have a favourite film but ‘A Bug’s Life’ comes to mind.

One thing you can’t live without?
Music.
The thing people would be most surprised to learn about you?
I’m extremely shy at times.
What was your first job?
It’s really a secret.
Where do you go for a good idea?
My bathtub.
Favourite quote?
"If no one wants me, the world doesn't end. But if I do not want myself, the world is nothing but endings." - Nayyirah Waheed.
