The world’s oldest candlemaker began in 1643 when grocer and candler Claude Trudon first took ownership of a boutique on Paris’ iconic rue Saint-Honoré. Using beeswax that was washed and filtered to create the purest white candle, Trudon’s creations soon caught the attention of King Louis XV. Trudon then went on to supply candles to the court of Versailles up until the French Revolution in 1789, and afterward continued to provide scents for the Imperial Court. His candles even survived the invention of electricity in 1889! Fast forward to 2007, when the company adopted the name Cire Trudon. Now manufactured in Normandy, each candle is handcrafted by a team of expert perfumers. As for their unique glass containers, these are handcrafted in Tuscany and adorned with the motto “Deo regique laborant”, meaning “They work for God and the King”, with ‘they’ referring to the bees.
Formulated and produced in NYC, Malin+Goetz products are instantly recognizable thanks to their apothecary-style packaging, which incorporates a minimalist design and a detailed list of ingredients. After suffering from a variety of skin conditions himself, ex-beauty buyer Matthew Malin saw an opportunity to launch a new skincare and fragrance brand alongside his partner Andrew Goetz who brought his keen eye for design when creating their chemist-inspired branding. Their eponymous brand uses natural formulas and advanced technology to create unique scents across their candles and fragrances. Our favourite is their iconic ‘Cannabis’ perfume, which balances spicy herbs with white floral notes and a hint of smoke.
These genderless fragrances are designed to be layered and burnt together in order to create your own personal scent.
Founded in 2004 by Israeli-born Elad Yifrach, L’Objet is a collection of expertly crafted and imaginative homewares focused around storytelling. Inspired by Yifrach’s travels and paying homage to a variety of cultures, these luxury pieces act as functional works of art. Home fragrances are developed alongside top perfumer Yann Vasnier to create unique scents with top, heart and base notes, offering a new apothecary experience when lighting the candles and incense.
L’Objet’s recent collaboration with Haas Brothers took its inspiration from the otherworldly landscape of Joshua Tree National Park in California, where the team was inspired to create a collection of ‘Where The Wild Things Are’-style little monster incense burners and candle holders. Each molded by hand in a porcelain atelier in Portugal, L’Objet’s creations combine scent and sculpture for a unique multisensory experience.
After searching and failing to find the right natural perfume, Abel’s founder Frances Shoemack made it her mission to create it. Based in Amsterdam, New Zealand-born Frances creates long-lasting, contemporary fragrances that use 100% natural ingredients. Working in harmony with the wearer’s natural chemistry, the fragrances are designed to continually evolve throughout the day.
A former winemaker, Frances combines an expert nose with her penchant for holistic philosophy, working alongside master perfumer Isaac Sinclair to create Abel’s delectable scent offering. Proving that self-indulgence and giving back can go hand in hand, Frances donates 1% of all proceeds to a variety of non-profit partners around the world, including Solar Sister and SOIL Haiti.

With a legacy spanning over 100 years, Fornasetti has become known for their sought-after homewares. The creation of Piero Fornasetti and now under the watchful eye of his son Barnaba, each candle and diffuser is handcrafted by skilled artisans and adorned with Fornasetti’s iconic drawings, including the face of Lina.
During his formative years, Piero discovered the inexpressive stare of opera singer Lina Cavalieri whilst scanning some old magazines. Bewitched by her face, Piero first drew her in 1952 and subsequently never stopped, giving her multiple identities, from cheeky winking Lina to masked and mysterious. Now one of the most recognisable Fornasetti artworks, Lina’s whimsical gaze offers the perfect accompaniment to any decorative homewares collection.
