Alighieri Woman
Self-taught designer Rosh Mahtani's launched her jewellery label Alighieri in 2014. A brand deeply rooted in literature, it is named after Dante Alighieri with its first ever collection taking inspiration from his 14th century allegory Divine Comedy. Beloved for its intricate heirlooms and distinctive 'artfully battered' aesthetic, Mahtani is the first jewellery designer to be honoured with the Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design. Handcrafted in her Hatton Garden studio from 24K gold-plated recycled bronze through the process of lost-wax casting, each unique piece perfectly suits a sustainable mindset. With stories embedded in every necklace, ring, bracelet and earring the Browns edit reads like a poem recital. See for yourself below.
