Offaly-born model and DJ / producer DYLAN MORAN takes us on a wild ride from the dance floor to late night eats as he parties his way across Berlin.

How would you sum up what you do in a sentence? 
That’s beyond difficult for me to get my head around – basically, I take the piss. 

What did you want to be when you were growing up? 
An actor. 

What did you do on your last day off? 
I spent a night in a country house in Clare by the lake with good people and wrote a piece of music for a show. 

What’s your biggest adventure so far? 
Moving to London - it’s definitely been the biggest stepping stone in my life. 

If you could do anything without fear of repercussion, what would you do?
Jump into the sea. I'm such a terrible swimmer and it really pisses me off. 

What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given? 
My mam and dad told me to quit my first fulltime job after four years of studying computing and pretty much drop it all and attempt to make a living from modelling. 

If you could have one superpower what would it be and how would you use it? 
Time travel - I think it speaks for itself. 

Describe your perfect night out…
Definitely something unplanned. Anytime I try to plan the perfect night, it will fail. Perfection doesn’t come easily. 

If you could live in any era, which would you pick and why?
The 90s. I really like the time I had growing up just before technology started to steal away the innocence of childhood. It was nice not knowing so many “facts” and living a little more innocently than kids today. Being the test dummies to the rapid growth of commercial technology will be something we will all look back on and laugh, hopefully. 

If you could plan a night out with anyone (living or dead) who would you pick, where would you go, and why? 
I’d love to go for a heap of pints with Michael Collins in my local pub in Banagher (middle of nowhere in Ireland) and just leave him to it and see what happens.

What’s the best party you’ve ever had?
My first ever gig outside of Ireland was at Kompass Klub in Ghent with my second family OTB Records. It sold out. I was shitting myself completely and that felt great. It had been a while since I surfaced from studio to the real-life practice.  

What is your go-to look for a night out? 
Something I don’t have to think about much, ideally clean and certainly comfortable. I don’t really tend to go to places that require a dress code.

House party or out out? 
50/50.

Pub or club? 
The sound from a good club mixed with the atmosphere of a cosy pub. I’m on the fence but probably a club just because it's a little rare to find a pub slamming out electronic tunes. 

Go-to drink? 
Guinness or whiskey. 

Where are we most likely to find you on a Friday or Saturday night? 
I spent the last six months between Corsica Studios and Manor House. 

Go-to karaoke song? 
Dance Hall Days by Spandau Ballet or Hurt by Johnny Cash. 

Do you have a party trick? If so, what is it?
I can hurt myself badly attempting the windmill, a breakdance move I’ve been proudly attempting from the age of 12 to now.  

What song do you listen to when you’re getting ready to go out? 
That changes pretty rapidly, like the Irish weather.

A bit mad.

Elvis.

The carelessness.

How bad the schooling system is, and continues to be. 

Who would you like to be stuck in an elevator with?
Aldous Huxley and a mushroom tea.

What’s your idea of happiness?
A career that’s passionate with people around you who make you feel comfortable.

If it’s from Browns, I’d appreciate some free clobber. If it's from the universe, I’d happily take a set at Berghain and a release on Tresor, thanks very much.
