Why are you a fashion designer?
I got into fashion when I was around 16 years old. Before becoming interested in fashion specifically, I was very into Hip-Hop and as Hip-Hop valued fashion more and more, I got into it myself. This was back during the Tumblr era with Virgil and his Pyrex Vision blog and Asap Rocky releasing the music video for Peso. I was fascinated by how rappers like Rocky and Kanye were so into fashion and that made me curious. 

What’s so good about fashion?
The fact that the way you dress says something about you. Fashion partly forms ones’ identity and that’s very powerful. 

Who or what drives your creativity?
True social phenomenons I’ve seen with my own eyes as well as the people I meet.  When I see something or experience something that sounds real and authentic, I try to make a relevant piece out of it. It’s really important for me that my pieces tell a story in some way. Because I’m mostly based between NY and LA, a lot of products are influenced by those cities and their amazing polar aesthetic. 

What's the most exciting thing about the fashion industry today?
The fact that fashion has never been more popular than now. Fashion is POP. It’s still very elitist but more people care about it. 

What did you want to be when you were growing up?
At some point I wanted to be a boat captain for the Cunard Line. 

How has your background influenced who you are today?
I had the chance to be born in a French family that had a lot of interest for art, fashion and music. I think that influenced me a great deal for sure and helped me develop a certain taste for things. I was taught to be curious about things and I think that’s very important when you’re a fashion designer, I always try to seek new inspiration and that helps make my collections more interesting and well thought out. 

How would you describe your designs?
Modern and America-inspired.

Who do you consider to be the true creatives in the world?
Daft Punk, Demna Gvasalia, and Kanye West.

Why is creativity important now more than ever?
In a world where everybody reads, watches and does the same stuff, it is important to be for creativity to be flourishing. 

Your favourite place in the world and why?
Probably the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles. I’ve thrown some pretty epic parties there. Overall, I like the vibe a lot and its authenticity. They also happen to have a nice eggs benedict. 

How do you waste time, when your schedule is clear? 
I watch a lot of movies. All sorts of movies, old, new, dramas, comedies…

What's your greatest ambition?
Build a great family and be admired by the ones that I love.

Who do you most admire and why?
It’s sounds very basic to say but I admire Kanye a lot, more now than ever in the past. I think he is just a very real person and he does not comprise. In a day and age where everybody is scared of saying that they think, especially if its unpopular, he is not scared to speak his mind. It’s inspiring to see him standing for the things he believes in. As much as I don’t agree with everything he says or does, everyone should appreciate the way he is trying to fight for his own opinions.

What would you like to do that you currently can’t?
Know how to drive a car. It’s time… 

What would you most like to change about the world?
I need to think more about this. Not sure I can answer that now, but I think there are a lot of things that should be changed. I’m a bit scared for the future. 

What would you most like to change about yourself?
I’d like to be more consistent on my opinions and not change an idea every 30 seconds. 

Who is someone (living or dead) that you would like to meet? And why?
Andy Warhol. One of the most visionary creatives in History. He was able to capture things better than anyone else his generation and was even able to predict the way society was going to evolve. He very much predicted how important celebrity would become in the 21st century. 

Who’s the coolest person you know and why?
Baz Luhrmann. He is crazy, fun, gives good advice and knows how to tell stories better than anyone. 

The best advice you've ever been given?
Don’t comprise.

Hardest question, I love too many.

Another hard question. Right now, Thank You by Led Zepplin!

Life by Keith Richards.

Do you have any phobias?
No! I’m lucky.

At a college party.

Black.

Favourite thing to eat?
Chicken curry.

What can’t you live without?
Unfortunately, my phone.

How would you describe your generation in 5 words?
Intelligent, inspired but sometimes too conformist.

Driven, focused and inspired.

How would your friends describe you in three words?
Driven, funny and always late.

What’s the best thing about Paris?
It’s full of history.

What’s the worst thing about Paris?
I’d say the weather but it’s actually not even that bad.

What makes life worth living?
Love.

If you could be anywhere right now, where would you be?
Somewhere warm with a beach.
