Chimala Man

Taking inspiration from the '30s right through to the '60s, Chimala is an artisanal denim company with a focus on reworking classic US military styles and workwear. Established in New York in 2005 by Noriko Machida, a vintage denim collector, the brand fuses Japanese fabrics, speciality washes, and hand distressing. Treating the denim in vintage shuttle looms results in wearable, yet refined practical silhouettes that are modish yet evoke a pre-war era.
