Run & Ride with Browns
This April saw the launch of our impressive edit of high performance brands arriving at Browns for the first time. During the course of this active month, we have played host to three run & ride events with a mix of athletes, ambassadors and a few from Browns HQ to celebrate this exciting merge of high performance and high fashion.
Browns run with SOAR
With Hackney-based running brand SOAR being a stone’s throw away from Browns East, we welcomed them to our world with an evening run. On an unseasonably snowy day, SOAR founder Tim Soar, our Head of Menswear Buying Dean Cook and Buyer Lee Goldup took to the Shoreditch roads with a whole crew of athletes. After braving the elements to complete an 8K, the runners headed back to the store for a much-welcomed beer and a wind down.

Browns ride with Pas Normal Studios
Between the 18th and 20th April 2019, we paired up with Pas Normal Studios and set off on a mini ‘Tour de Ardennes’ in Belgium. A team of cycling aficionados, which included Pas Normal founder Karl Oskar-Olson, one champion athlete, two brand ambassadors, two photographers and of course our very own Head of Menswear Buying Dean Cook took on this difficult course. This unlikely band of brothers cycled 293 kilometres during their three-day ride, went through three tubes of chaff cream, consumed 80 beers and wore more Lycra than the ‘90s cast of Gladiators.
An amazing and impressive feat for all those involved, read the full interview with the riders here.
Browns run with Satisfy
Rounding off the trio of events nicely we ended with a morning run, partnering with the first running brand at Browns, Satisfy. After hosting a run with Satisfy a year ago, it seemed only fitting to finish off a fantastic month celebrating high performance with an anniversary event. Warming up the day before the London Marathon, a group of runners including Satisfy founder, Brice Partouche, some of the Track Mafia crew, and of course some of Browns HQ, set off from Browns East at 8.30am. After completing an 8K run they arrived back to Browns East to enjoy a hearty, healthy breakfast from Kitchen & Soul.
