Transport Specialist

Job Purpose:

A brand new role part of Browns Operations Team that will work in a cross-functional environment with the Supply Chain and Retail to determine future demand for transportation resources and transform them in capacity plans. The role will be responsible for maintaining reports and accurate statistics and analysis on usage of transportation from supplier to Browns.

The Transport Specialist with be link between Operations and the wider business and resolves any potential issues that impact the customer or the business continuity.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Capture and monitor transportation data within the company, especially from supplier to Browns, and make decisions based on available data.
  • Reporting on lead times, supplier delivery performance, delivery costs, and delivery savings.
  • Feeding back to the business with suggestion in how to improve the delivery lead times and delivery costs.
  • Dealing with imports and exports and general custom clearance.
  • Following solution-driven approach to systems and processes.
  • Escalate problems or new information to relevant owners and teams such buying, merchandising, retail, finances or operations departments, and follow the resolutions to ensure they are delivered.

Womenswear Assistant Buyer

Job Purpose:

Due to an internal promotion we are now looking for Assistant Buyer is to assist in the strategic execution of the overall buying strategy for Women’s RTW category, driving performance and contributing to growth across this category. The AB will support in analysing sell-through, both in-store and online, trading stock, sourcing new brands and products, holding appointments, negotiating the best terms for Browns, managing existing brands and implementing initiatives to drive sales and maximise profitability.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Buyer and Junior Buyer in managing their buying trips and schedules for fashion week. This includes getting dates from suppliers, setting up appointments, rescheduling when needed and requesting show tickets for all fashion weeks. Booking travel and accommodation.
  • Managing a BAA and interns to develop Buy sheets, Photo books and Brand Bibles each season.
  • Raising SKU’s and PO for Women’s RTW.
  • Working closely with the Buying Director and Buyer, to propose, agree and deliver Open to buy, ensuring growth and margin targets are achieved.
  • Analyse sales, identifying potential for growth, issues and new opportunities, and developing a buying plan by store and by product category, to deliver agreed targets.

Head of People and Talent (Maternity Cover)

Job Purpose:

We are looking for a Head of People & Talent to start in April 2018 for a period of approximately 7 months, to cover maternity. The Head of People and Talent will be responsible for establishing Browns as the coolest & kindest employer in the tech/retail space. The objective of this Maternity Cover role is to execute and refine, as required, the 2018 People Strategy, with the overarching goals of improving employee engagement, supporting a high performance culture and positioning Browns according to our values to attract top talent.

Strategic Senior Leader

This role reports into the CEO and is a pivotal role in the senior leader team, ensuring People are at the centre of all we do. The newly appointed Partner roles for the Talent Acquisition, L&D and People Operations streams report into this crucial position. Strategic leadership, support and drive will be required to ensure all streams in the People function are working in true partnership with each other and with the wider business, driving the wider strategic goals of the business.

Warehouse Supervisor

Job Purpose:

Browns Fashion are growing! We have created a brand new role for an enthusiastic Warehouse Supervisor. Based predominantly at our warehouse in Enfield, with travel to our Offices in Old Street and Mayfair, you will be responsible for providing hands on support to the supply chain function, working on the ground as the key liaison with Browns 3PL, identifying areas of improvement and ensuring supplier compliance.

* This is a Monday - Friday only role, core hours 9am - 6pm. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Fostering a strong working relationship with all team members within Browns 3PL, and in particular working closely with the 3PL Operations Manager.
  • Ensuring Browns 3PL meet SLA’s on a daily basis ensuring adequate resource and clear communication of Browns requirements.
  • Monthly review of 3PL productivity, identifying factors contributing to any underperformance and proposing changes to eliminate these and encourage maximum productivity.
  • Thorough workforce planning in conjunction with 3PL to ensure adequate manpower to cope with peak trading periods and achieve fulfilment capacity and ensure no delays in high volume periods.
  • Continuously strive for excellence, communicating priorities and KPI’s including productivity, and packaging and quality control standards.
  • Reporting on KPI’s and presenting these to key stakeholders, sharing insights such as units / hour: picked, packed, received, and dispatched.
  • Facilitating stock audits and full stocktakes, including planning and accountability for results.
  • Identify any risks, and escalate problems to relevant owners and teams, following the correct processes to ensure resolutions are achieved in a timely manner.

Jewellery Specialist

Job Purpose:

The primary purpose of the Jewellery Specialist/Sales Associate is to deliver an exceptional customer experience, whilst achieving personal sales targets, representing our flagship stores' fine jewellery department. This will be achieved through learning and transferring product knowledge, building and maintaining clientele, and representing Browns as ‘the coolest boutique in the world.’

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Building strong relationships with clients, and delivering an exceptionally personalised experience, in line with Browns service standards.
  • Building and transferring knowledge of fashion/jewellery trends and Browns product, including attending training, in order to ensure you are able to provide specialist advice to clients and assist them in meeting their needs.

Upload Manager

Job Purpose:

Due to continuous growth we have created a brand new role for an Upload Manager to oversee our activities in Production, Styling and Online Merchandising. The primary purpose is to strive for excellence in our Ecommerce upload chain. The Upload Manager will partner with key business stakeholders in Buying, Merchandising, Operations and Group Creative Operations to ensure efficiency and governance of our rapidly expanding product catalogue whilst ensuring we have the right setup to achieve visual excellence throughout our product photography.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set the strategy for, develop and master the product upload chain at Browns.
  • Progress Browns’ Upload team and structure, incl. Production, Styling and Online Merchandising.
  • Ensure our upload process and its output maximizes CVR and AOV whilst minimizing returns.
  • Strike the right balance between product creative direction and the need for continuous efficiency and productivity improvements in our Digital Production.
  • Cross-functional leadership to ensure Finance, Buying, Merchandising, Operations, Retail, Ecommerce and Farfetch Creative Operations teams are aligned to strategy.
  • Work closely with the Buying teams to effectively manage product both before and after it enters the business.

Delivery/Cutover Manager

Job Purpose:

The Delivery/Cutover Manager will work closely with business stakeholders, suppliers and peers in the Technology and Product team to ensure the successful roll-out of a large scale strategic ERP project. This role will suit a technically aware individual that is commercially savvy from an operations perspective that puts optimized business processes at the heart of decision making. This will be on a 5 months FTC.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate the setup, integration and maintenance of third party test environments.
  • Create and own the User Acceptance Test plan and management of the internal and external test resources.
  • Create and own the cut-over plan (including hand over into Support).
  • Create and own the data migration plan.

Personal Shopping Coordinator (VIC)

Job Purpose:

Browns Fashion are growing! We have created a brand new role for a VIC Coordinator, supported our talented and established VIC Manager! The purpose of our VIC Coordinator is to support the execution of the VIC strategy, using insights to drive activities designed to grow our client base and increase value of existing VIC’s, across all channels, thereby helping the department to achieve its commercial objectives.

Buy Team Assistant

Job Purpose:

A brand new role created for a Buy Team Assistant to support to our Womenswear Buying Director and the wider Womens’ Buying Team, taking ownership of all general day to day administrative duties, working closely with other departments within Browns Fashion. The Buy Team Assistant will help organise as well as assist with presentation preparation, booking and organising global travel, meeting organisation and confirmation, team expenses management alongside other administration duties to help organise the team and the Buying Director.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be the main point of contact regarding all administrative queries and tasks for the Womens’ Buying team.
  • Assist the Buying Director with ensuring that all team members are aware of and adhere to set deadlines.
  • Main point of call for organising and setting up meetings both internally and externally on a global scale.
  • Manage the Buying Directors’ busy diary.
  • Coordinate projects across various departments representing the Womens’ Buying team.
  • Assist with creating visual presentations and reports for the team, as well as taking minutes when needed.
  • Organise international travel arrangements, including booking flights and hotels for the department.
  • Provide support with the buying season schedule creation and execution.
  • Create, distribute and organise all templates needed for the department.

Stock Controller

Job Purpose:

The role will involve a hands-on stockroom operation management, working very closely with the Stockroom Manager. The Stock Controller will be responsible of the movement of retail stock, as well as looking for ways to improve processes and eliminate stock loos and damage.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for retail stockroom operations, standards.
  • Receive daily stock deliveries, check against delivery notes and querying discrepancies.
  • Ensure stock is ticketed and distributed promptly.
  • Process stock returns to warehouse.
  • Organise stock transfers between stores.

Visual Merchandising Assistant

Job Purpose:

The role of the VM Assistant is to provide daily support to the VM Manager in order to achieve the highest visual standards throughout the retail spaces of business, with particular focus on visual merchandising, window displays and internal displays.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the VM team with the visual merchandising tasks on the shop floor, focusing on improving the day to day VM to obtain luxury standards. 
  • Help to keep track of props and VM equipment in stores.
  • Organise and implement sale visuals and signage throughout the stores.
  • Carry out 'comp (comparison) shops' to maintain awareness of other retailers' visual merchandising concepts – report on findings sharing this with team.
  • Attend brand trainings and share the information with the team.

  • Identify the key products, product owners and product teams that will drive commercial change.

Loss Prevention Lead

Job Purpose:

The purpose of the Loss Prevention Lead is to protect the assets of the store against theft and work very closely with the Retail Management team to maintain operational controls to reduce shortage. 



Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Providing insight into our website performance (Pageviews, conversions, bounce rates, etc) including customer shopping behaviour on site and pathing information to make recommendations for improvement
  • Providing analysis around (but not limited to) customer behaviour and lifecycle, product performance and conversions, promotion impact, industry & competitor trends and customer cohort analysis.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Must have excellent analytic and problem solving skills
  • Must have advanced expertise using Excel, SQL and Tableau
  • University degree must include a strong focus on statistics and/or data mining, the successful candidate will likely have an advanced degree in this area
  • Highly confident in dealing with ambiguity and scoping work with keen attention to detail
  • Good technical knowledge and understanding of tracking systems and websites
  • A n expert of Web analysis tools such as Google Analytics etc
  • A working knowledge of BI, data warehousing etc.
  • Previous online marketing experience, with understanding and exposure to the different marketing channels and how they affect each other
  • A flexible, approachable attitude with good problem solving skills
  • Commercially focused and driven with the ability to work towards metrics and targets
  • Ability to work to deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • An understanding of fashion and luxury fashion in a retail environment is a bonus
