Opening Ceremony was founded by university friends Carol Lim and Humberto Leon. Conceived as a ‘fun and unintimidating’ boutique in New York’s SoHo, the stores roaring success has seen it expand into a label of easy to wear clothing including denim, dresses, shirts, trousers and outerwear. The designs are neat and basic in cut with wardrobe classics given a contemporary attention to detail.
