Worth was founded in 1858 by Charles Frederich Worth, the Lincolnshire-born designer who dominated the Parisian couture scene in the latter half of the nineteenth century. Nicknamed the ‘father of haute couture’, Worth set impossible-to-follow standards and has remained at the high altar of fashion history since. With head designer Giovanni Bedin breathing new life into the esteemed fashion house, haute couture techniques have remained integral without sacrificing any of the houses time honored craftsmanship or intricate sculptured elegance.
