L’Wren Scott first designed and made clothes for herself as a tall (6’3”), lean teenager in the far western US state of Utah where nothing fit her body type let alone her taste. After a career modeling in Paris she moved to Los Angeles to become a stylist and eventually launched her own collection in 2006. Entitled ‘Little Black Dress” it comprised of a line-up of interpretations on that wardrobe essential laying the foundations for her design philosophy of luxuriously crafted, timeless pieces in sexy and empowering silhouettes.
