This black and white J.W. Anderson gingham print top is our prairie home companion. Crafted from soft cotton like grandma's jam jar covers in that white wooden house in Minnesota, the piece has been cut with a boxy fit and features an all-over check print and that is elevated out of the Mid West by ruffle detailing at the sleeves and hem and a square, modern cut. Fastened at the back with small buttons in the same pattern, we recommend styling your J.W. Anderson piece with trainers and kick flares for a playful day look in the city as you spare a thought for Grandma Ingalls and her simple life in a sea of grass.

MEET THE DESIGNER
The Browns' Edit of J.W. Anderson celebrates the brand's off-kilter and innovative aesthetic. Born in Northern Ireland with an initial desire to pursue a career in acting, Anderson moved to Washington DC to study drama at The Actors' Studio where he discovered a love for stage costumes. Upon moving back to London and completing a degree in menswear at the London College of Fashion, the revered designer made his foray into womenswear. The J.W. Anderson woman is androgynous, confident, realistic and loves to borrow a few menswear pieces from his wardrobe.
