This khaki Valentino shearling lined and fox fur trimmed parka coat is going to be a reliable number when the weather takes a bad turn (could be tomorrow last we heard). Featuring a cream shearling lining, a concealed front zip and button fastening and an integrated hood with a fox fur trim, this long sleeve coat has been manufactured in Italy from khaki cotton and was inspired by the Ballets Russes (think athletic layering) and art critic Diaghilev. Finished with two front flap pockets, we'll be wearing our Valentino parka with a turtle neck sweater, Philosophy skirt and Aquazzura over-the-knee boots on our next trip to Moscow.

MEET THE DESIGNER
The Browns' Edit of Valentino emanates the romantic and timeless elegance of the world-renowned fashion designer's Ready-to-Wear and Resort collections. Crowned as ‘The Sheik of Chic’, Valentino Garavani displayed an early interest in fashion and relocated to Paris to study at the École des Beaux-Arts and the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne. Upon return to Rome, Valentino set up his own label and debuted his first couture collection in 1962 which garnered attention from the likes of Jackie O and Audrey Hepburn. Adored by notable socialists, aristocrats and celebrities, the Italian mastermind spent the following decades perfecting his craft and becoming a true innovator of the feminine form, for which he was awarded a French Legion of Honor medal in 2006. Since retiring from the iconic fashion house, the time-honoured craftsmanship and artisan techniques discovered by Valentino live on through the current creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli.
