This purple and off-white Jacquemus 'Upside Down' pinstripe tunic dress, so called because of the fact that its de-constructed style has swapped around the front and back of the classic shirt shape, so that the button fastening and classic collar are on the rear and the front features a relatively simplistic fuss-free side, which one normally associates with the rear of a shirt. Was Diana Ross anticipating this creation in her song 'Upside Down'? We like to think so. We're styling our Jacquemus dress with our white leather sneakers to our next crayfish party.

MEET THE DESIGNER
The Browns' Edit of Jacquemus pays homage to the brand's reputation for deconstructed, surrealist and often ‘NSFW' designs. Having begun his career in Paris' Comme des Garcons boutique, Simon Porte Jacquemus has often expressed the Japanese brand’s influence on his work. Founded in 2009 after the passing of his mother, he launched his label under her maiden name, Jacquemus, and his collections have a child-like spirit and sense of freedom, often featuring asymmetrical designs, oversized silhouettes, experimental make up and shoeless or topless models.
