Haider Ackermann trained at The Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp and his work is a marriage of contrast. Intrigued by the culmination of cultures, high and low, decadent and street, raw and refined, it is no surprise that the Columbia-born designer draws inspiration from the vitality of life itself. His abstract work with leather, ingenious drapery and tailored dexterity has acquired mascots like Tilda Swinton and the modern designer hasn’t looked back since.
