Chloé was founded in 1952 by Gaby Aghion, an Egyptian-born Parisian with a dark beauty and bohemian spirit. Rejecting the stiff formality of 50's fashion, she created soft, body conscious clothes from fine fabrics and called them ‘luxury prêt-à-porter’. With the creative direction of Clare Waight Keller who joined the house in the spring of 2011 the Chloé woman has been reinterpreted, still as womanly as ever but infused with a free-natured sensuality that has always underscored Chloé’s luxury.
