If you place an order, this will be your offer to purchase the items from us. We will acknowledge your order as soon as possible but will be under no obligation to supply the products ordered unless we have the products in stock and they are available at the prices specified.
If items that you order are out of stock, subject to a delay or the price is higher than that shown on your order, we will try to contact you at the email address you provided when placing your order. If we cannot contact you or receive no response to our email, we will continue to process the remaining items on your order. We will not supply a substitute product without your express authority.
Please note that you will be charged for the item once the order is placed as this will secure the item for you. Once your order has arrived we will be able to ship your item directly to you.
When making a purchase that includes a pre-order piece, you will incur a supplementary shipping charge when your pre-order is dispatched at a later date. In addition, when purchasing multiple pre-order items, you will incur a charge for each item that is dispatched.
We aim to deliver your chosen items to the place and person of your choice, in perfect condition and in the shortest possible time. UK and overseas orders are shipped by DHL for a speedy delivery. Minimum delivery charges are £7.00 per UK delivery address and £25.00 for overseas orders. We insure each purchase during the time it is in transit until it is delivered to you. If you wish to track your parcel and have not received an email with your tracking details, please email us and we will either track your shipment for you or email you a tracking number which can be used on the DHL website www.dhl.com.
Most orders will be dispatched within 3 working days subject to credit clearance, address verification and availability of items. We will contact you if there is a delay or if items are out of stock.
We ship to all countries via DHL courier. All orders to Non-European countries will be shipped on a DDU (Delivery Duties Unpaid) basis. This means that any duties and taxes incurred in the country of destination are the responsibility of the customer.
If you for any reason refuse delivery you will still be charged the duties and taxes. Your item will be returned to Browns and you will be directly charged for the unpaid duties and taxes along with the additional shipping costs.

Please note that at present customs in Russia has introduced a new restriction which means that parcels can take up to a week to arrive.
We ship to China via DHL courier on a DDU (Delivery Duties Unpaid) basis. However, there is a customs issue which requires the receiver to provide a ten digit customs registration number (CR number) to Browns which must be obtained from Chinese customs. We cannot ship orders to China via DHL courier without the required CR number. Please be advised that you will need to contact your local customs for the customs registration number (CR number). Your ID number is not the CR number that is required by your local customs (please click on the link below)
Please also note that your shipment/order cannot be classed as personal effects/personal use as your shipment is coming from Browns as a business to yourself as a consumer. Therefore, you are responsible for import duties/taxes at your local customs office. We have already deducted 20% VAT from your purchase, therefore any duty and taxes incurred in the country of destination are the responsibility of the customer. When you placed your order, you agreed to our terms and conditions of purchase.
Your local customs will return your shipment to us if you cannot provide your personal customs registration number. In this event you still may incur duties and taxes from customs in China, which you as the customer would be solely responsible for.

The service operates Monday through Saturday for London based customers within zones 1, 2 and 3 and is handled by our courier Clockworks. Orders must be received and credit card transactions authorised by 1pm (Monday – Saturday) in order to receive same day delivery, once the order has been successfully received and processed we will call you to arrange a delivery time suitable to you. Orders received after 1pm will be sent by London same day delivery the following working day.
Customers selecting London same day delivery should provide us with a contact telephone number for that day to avoid delays. If we are unable to reach you on your contact telephone number to arrange delivery within 48 hours, your order will then be shipped by our standard UK delivery method and shipping costs charged accordingly. Any orders sent out that are undeliverable will be returned to Browns and the customer will bear the costs for re-delivery. The cost is £10.00 per delivery or free for orders over £2500.
When an order is dispatched via the London Same Day Delivery method, a charge will be incurred should the customer not be present during their specified delivery window or if the driver is required to wait.

Unsuitable items may be refunded or exchanged within 14 days from the date you sign for the delivery. Before you return something you must notify us within 48 hours of receiving an item and obtain a Return Authorization Reference number by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include your original receipt in the returned parcel. You must write your Return Authorization Reference number on the receipt. Any returned items that are not accompanied by an official reference number will not be accepted. If you prefer, you can contact one of our customer care representatives who will be happy to talk you through our returns procedure, simply call 44 (0) 20 7514 0020.
Browns will only exchange an item for the same item in a different size, subject to availability, if a different garment is desired you must place this as a new order. Returns received after the 14 days time frame are accepted at the discretion of Browns and can only be refunded with a 'store credit note' which can be used online or in store.
Jewellery purchased online through our website will need to be shipped back to us for return or exchange within 3 working days of receiving the item. Please note that we are unable to accept returns or exchanges on earrings. In addition fine jewellery containing precious stone or diamonds can not be returned or exchanged. We will contact you after you purchase fine jewellery to ensure you understand the terms and conditions. Lingerie items purchased online will be returned or exchanged within 14 days by the discretion of the management team. Please be aware that shoes must be returned in their original designer box. Shoes returned without their original boxes will not be accepted.
Please send all returns to Browns Website Deparment, 20 Haunch of Venison Yard, London W1K 5EZ. The product you return must be in new, unused, and unworn condition with all the original packaging and garment tags still attached. We do not accept any item with any indication that it was used. In such cases, the item will be returned to the purchaser.
If you wish to receive a refund we will re-credit the original purchaser's credit card for the sum paid less any taxes and duties and less the postal costs.
It is advisable to send returned items by registered post/DHL and keep your proof of postage certificate, as we cannot be responsible for goods lost or damaged in transit. Please note that postal costs for returned goods are the customer’s responsibility and will be reimbursed by us only in the case of damaged, faulty or incorrectly supplied goods.
Please Note that if you use FedEx to return your items, there will be an additional £20.00 charge which will come off of your refund. Instead please contact us for our DHL return account number at competitive rates.
Browns are not responsible for any item that is not returned in the manner set forth above and we cannot accept responsibility for packages until we are in possession of them.
Customers' statutory rights are unaffected.
We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products that appear on Browns Fashion. However, as computer moniters vary, we cannot guarantee that your moniter's display of any colour will be completely accurate.
Payment can be made securely online by Visa, Master Card, American Express, Diners or Maestro cards. You may also place your order through fax. The credit/debit card that is being used must be yours. All credit/debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery of your order. We also reserve the right to cancel your order.
