Valli attributes his expertise with colour and volume to time spent cutting cloth at Emanuel Ungaro. Among his muses he counts the unconventionality of Elsa Schiaparelli and the costume drawings of Federico Fellini. Since 2005 the designer has continued to establish his sophisticated, chic style focusing on cocoon and bell shaped evening dresses skillfully constructed with luxe fabrics.
