Azzedine Alaia
Tunisian designer Azzedine Alaia started his career in fashion as a dressmaker’s assistant after his graduation on sculpture in Tunis. He likes to call himself a “builder” rather than a fashion designer. His works emphasize structure and purity of form. The fabrics and rigorous tailoring are painstakingly constructed to envelope the body snugly.
