The Browns' Edit of Dsquared2 perfectly encapsulates the brand's casual-luxe aesthetic. Canadian twin brothers Dean and Dan Caten left suburban Toronto together in 1983 to study in New York City at Parson’s School of Design. Eight years later they moved together again, this time to Italy, cutting their teeth with some of Europe’s most influential fashion houses. By 1995 they had held their own label’s first men’s show, the collection combining a Canadian wit and sensibilities with luxury Italian tailoring that went on to form the philosophy of the Dsquared2 brand, one they describe as “alternative luxury”. Today the duo divide their time between Milan where all production occurs and London where they live and design.
