Tim Ryan learnt how to make clothes on his mother’s domestic sewing machine, crafting with various yarns or strips that he had to hand. Growing up devouring issues of 70s Vogue, it is this influence that seeps through into Ryan’s work. Displaying a sexually powerful and liberated woman, Ryan’s passionate use of colour and handmade techniques highlight his defiantly body conscious designs.
