Emilio de la Morena had ambitions of becoming a sculptor yet completed an MA in fashion design at Central Saint Martins, which goes someway to explaining why his contemporary collections resemble pieces of soft sculpture. Preferring to drape directly onto the mannequin, the artist come designer negates the usual sketches and this direct passion is utilized in his refreshingly pure designs.
